HOW TO USE KANTO AUDIO EDITOR

Kanto Audio Editor is designed to make editing and converting MIDI, KAR and audio files simple and fast.

Step 1. Open your file

From the main Audio Editor screen, start from the OPEN FILE section and click Browse to select the file you want to edit.

Supported files include:

MID / MIDI / KAR / MP3 / KFN

Step 2. Adjust the song

Use the controls in the ADJUST section to modify:

  • Key / Pitch
  • Tempo
  • Volume

If you are working with a MIDI or KAR file, you can also open MIDI Studio to make more advanced changes to individual MIDI channels.

Step 3. Edit MIDI channels and instruments

Click Open MIDI Studio to see all MIDI channels used by the song.

From MIDI Studio you can:

  • see which instrument is assigned to each MIDI channel;
  • see the volume of each channel;
  • exclude or re-enable individual channels;
  • change the instrument assigned to a channel;
  • adjust the volume of individual channels;
  • preview your changes in real time;
  • use the playback slider to move forward or backward in the song.

The activity LEDs help you identify which MIDI channels are currently playing, making it easier to find the melody, drums, bass or other instruments you want to modify.

When you have finished, click Save & Return to return to the main Audio Editor screen.

Step 4. Preview the result

Click Preview on the main screen to listen to the song with your current settings before exporting it.

This is useful to check Key, Tempo, Volume and all the changes made in MIDI Studio.

Step 5. Choose the output format

Select the desired output format:

MIDI or MP3

The available formats may depend on the source file.

Step 6. Choose the destination and export

In the PREVIEW / EXPORT section:

  1. choose the output file location;
  2. enter the desired file name;
  3. click EXPORT MIDI or EXPORT MP3.

Your new edited file will then be created.
